Company Fusion Limited is working with a well established group of country house hotels with unique character and historic charm based in idyllic countryside settings. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join their busy team based in Burford, Oxfordshire.

The Package - What you could earn

  • Basic salary paying up to £26,000 per annum.

Sous Chef - Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will take responsibility alongside the Head Chef for the smooth delivery of the overall food operations within the hotel to 2 rosette standard.
  • Daily operational responsibility for food production of the highest standard.
  • Ensuring health, safety & hygiene standards & regulations are enforced.
  • Stock control & ordering.
  • Training, developing & motivating the team.
  • You will work with the finest ingredients, many produced locally, to create cuisine that is contemporary English with strong traditional influences. 
  • Assist the Head Chef in the development of menus and in monitoring the GP.

The Person - Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience at a Sous Chef level working to a rosette standard would be ideal.
  • You need to be passionate about food, motivated and organised.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to a high standard.
  • Experience monitoring the operations of a busy kitchen including stock ordering, staff management and development and health & safety.
